SouleMama: How long have you been in business?
Lisa: We've been in business for 5 years
SouleMama: What's the product or offering that you are most excited about in your shop/class right now? Tell us about it.
Lisa: Spring cleaning products, made in Germany. After a long winter, we are looking forward to throwing open the shutters, and in with the sunshine and out with the winter dust. We have feather dusters, copper oven cleaners, and all sorts of exquisitely wooden handled brushes and bathroom/bedroom/kitchen items en route.
SouleMama: In your mind, what is that one thing which makes your business different?
Lisa: More than 95% of what's in our stockroom is biodegradable. This is a large part of sustainability for us. Recycling is part of modern society and makes good sense, but many things are not made to be truly recyclable, and sometimes even if they rae, recycling doesn't address the question of what will eventually happen to materials such as plastics. Plastics are so overly-abundant now that they're finding their way into our soils and oceans in concerning amounts. We're happy to be part of a growing movement of people and businesses that prioritize this issue.
SouleMama: What's the one thing you can't live without?
Lisa: Google calendar. My partner and I use it together to coordinate both business and parenting and household tasks. It simplifies communication, it's cloud-based, and we can assign duties and daily to-do lists through it.
SouleMama: What word describes your business best?
Lisa: Sustainable
