A great deal of my studio time these days is spent on magazine work. Lining up new contributors, growing our team (interested?), editing the pages, dreaming up new projects, and plotting our future course with the fabulous team of friends and colleagues that make up Taproot Magazine. So much of that is work that I don't want to show you! I'm that person who loves to save each page of the calendar until the first of the month to be surprised. And in the interest of all those people like me who love surprises - in their calendars and in their magazines - I never want to spoil the arrival of our pages, or the announcement of the latest product we're cooking up. But...a little bit of a peak never hurt anyone, did it? Some behind the scenes of what I've been working on lately in the Taproot world....
A recent visit to the Taproot office in Hardwick, Vermont - a place I've grown quite fond of spending a bit of time in.
Thus far!
Outtake from a shoot for our next issue, SEED. (See Steve's Instagram for a true behind the scenes!)
Spending a bit too much time deliberating the contrasting pocket fabric for my Taproot Tunic (by Sonya Philip, from Issue 8 :: RECLAIM).
Little glimpes of some projects we're crafting with Phoebe Wahl for our Print Shop later this year.
A corner in my studio.
Coming up next (with cover art by Geninne Zlatkis).
There, that wasn't too spoiling of a peek, now was it? I hope not. Just a glimpse, I hope, into the work that occupies a great deal of my time, and a project I count myself lucky to be a part of each day. Now, I best get to it....inside the stack of pages on that clipboard in the last photo is precisely where I'll happily and busily be this morning.
Wishing you a lovely day in your own work and play, friends!
