Growing. So. Fast. These lambs, of course. From afar (okay, and without my glasses on) it's nearly impossible to tell them apart from their mothers now. But my love of a girl, Adelaide? She's growing too. She'll be nine years old later this summer. My heart bursts at the thought - in pride at who she is and how much I love her, excitement to see her growing and becoming even more herself every single day, and in sorrow at how fast it's going. Sigh. My sweet, sweet girl.
That sweet girl got herself a new dress, courtesy of my Liberty fabric splurge at Purl Soho. The dress pattern is a quick and simple Geranium from Made by Rae. With some lovely little vintage buttons down the back, and a laced kerchief to match. She's thrilled with it - though truth be told she's an easy one to please. A new dress, a snuggle with the lambs, a heart-to-heart in a patch of clover. The important things.
