Today, we bring you a giveaway from SouleMama Sponsor, Bamboletta Dolls. In Christina's words:
""We make handcrafted one of a kind dolls using all natural dolls and whole lotta love."
SouleMama: Tell us what you envision and dream for the future of your business.
Christina: I've been thinking about this quite a bit lately. After we won the Best Community Impact Award we've had lots of interest in our company and the question of 'what's next' comes up often. I'm looking into extending our sewing mama (these are the women who sew our dolls together) into more rural and remote areas around where we are located and having weekly sewing circles. There are many little islands around where I live with people living off the land, homesteading and off grid. So, this way I can offer some employment to an area where there isn't really. I love the idea of 10 or so women gathering weekly sewing dolls together. There is something so innately timeless about women gathering doing handwork - it's like magic. It's like everything drops away and time stands still amidst cups of tea and laughter. The energy created there goes into the dolls - I am sure of it. I recently chatted with a consulting company that were showing me projections based if I did what I did in a factory - more money, more efficiency, more, more, more - but where is the magic? And how much do you really need? This has been my biggest accomplishment in Bamboletta - keeping the magic alive. And this is what I strive for as I take Bamboletta into the future.
SouleMama: What's your favorite thing you've ever made?
Christina: A doll for my youngest son, Jasper. There was so much love that went into that doll and it really just looks like him. I like that this will be like a bookmark of his life - a memento of who he was at 6 years old. I know I will always remember him with this doll as he grows older and it's one of my most treasured possessions.
SouleMama: Do you have a favorite inspirational quote?
Christina: To believe in the things you can see and touch is no belief at all. But to believe in the unseen is a triumph and a blessing. Abraham Lincoln
