Greetings from Kelbourne Woolens!
Philadelphia-based Kelbourne Woolens is the North American distributor of The Fibre Co yarns and the two companies work together to create and distribute The Fibre Co's beautiful yarns + the Kelbourne Woolens line of knitting patterns and notions.
We, Kate Osborn and Courtney Kelley, founded Kelbourne Woolens in 2008 when we were working at a local yarn shop in Philadelphia. The company has grown tremendously over the years, and we have too! When we started we were a brand new mum and a college grad student - and now we're both full time mom's and currently employing two other women full time. We're proud of the work we do, proud to be a women owned business, and we strive to work hard to create a happy work environment that meets the unique demands of working mothers.
Our webmistress and jane-of-all-social-media trades, Leah McGlone, has recently been improving our online shop by adding mill ends, odd lots and discontinued yarns available for sale to the general public. She and Kate have also worked together to develop our line of Kelbourne Woolens notions.
SouleMama: Since the last time you were featured on SouleMama, in what ways has your business grown or changed?
Courtney: We have been busy this past winter, and just in time for spring we released two new collections of knitting patterns, one with fellow knitwear designer and friend Laura Nelkin entitled The Pathways Collection. The collection coincided with the release of our new yarn, Road to China Lace - a luscious blend of baby alpaca, camel, cashmere, and silk. The other collection, Little Things, was a follow up to our very popular Baby Collection, which readers may recall from last year.
This weekend, Kelbourne Woolens is generously offering the following gifts to TWO lucky SouleMama readers:
Winner #1: All four patterns in The Pathways Collection and two skeins of Road to China Lace in their choice of color
Winner #2: A copy of Little Things and a Kelbourne Woolens Knit Check
In addition, Kelbourne Woolens is offering all SouleMama readers 15% off an eBook version of Little Things using the code LITTLETHINGS by purchasing our book through Ravelry.
