Greetings from Quince and Co.!
Pam Allen and Carrie Bostick Hoge, yarn addicts to the core, started Quince & Co. with an owner of a historic Maine mill in 2010. Together they created a line of classic, beautiful yarns from wool sourced in the US. With those yarns they designed a line of modern knitwear patterns for sweaters and accessories lovely in their simplicity, which echoed the “upgraded essentials” nature of the yarn.
Quince makes its products as locally as we can, sourcing and spinning its yarns in the US, as much as possible. Quince’s wool and wool-blend yarns are spun in historic American mills from territory wool. By sourcing its wool in the US and manufacturing yarn locally, Quince minimizes its carbon footprint and helps keep American ranches from turning into parking lots.

Quince: So much has changed since the last time we were featured on SouleMama! First off, we have a brand new website (let us know what you think!).
We have new yarns, including Piper, a lace weight 50% Super Kid Mohair / 50% Superfine Merino, sourced entirely from Texas ranches, and spun and dyed in the US.
New colors in our 100% fine American wool range, including natural brown heather shades, called Audouin and Caspian.
And, of course, lots of awesome new knitwear patterns and collections. We recently released Home, a collection of homey knitwear, designed by Pam Allen with comfort and simplicity--two of the essential elements of a great home--in mind. Our most recent collection, released at the end of February, is Scarves 4. The collection features a great range of knittable neckwear from up and coming designers. It is currently available in PDF and pre-order for the print book.
This weekend, Quince and Co. is generously offering the following gifts to TWO lucky SouleMama readers:
Grand prize: A copy of Home and Scarves 4, with the yarn to knit any one of the projects, and a Quince tote
Second prize: A copy of Home or Scarves 4, and a Quince tote
