SouleMama: Since the last time you were featured on SouleMama, in what ways has your business grown or changed?
Lisa: Since our last feature, our business has changed in that we've begun with new accounting software (!), and still working on our new site launch. :) Things should change a lot for us soon with both our kids in our local Waldorf school care. Our 2 year old starts in the Fall at a lovely Waldorf preschool, and right next door to it is the elementary school, and our 4 year old starts a special summer program in a few weeks to help introduce the little ones to the big school without all the older kids there. I had wonderfully timely advice from a dear customer this past week, who reminded me that it's really quite okay to go slowly at these ages, and if some days our little ones can use a morning of one-on-one with me or their Dad, then it's ultimately healthy for them to stay home some days. The transition to full-time kindergarten can be mostly fine for some kids, and others might need a little more time... So, going to go with a 'feelings-first' approach. I want them to feel really safe and good about it all. I'm also aiming to arrive half hour early each morning to stay for playground play, one after the other. I know, I know, so many people tell me to not make a big deal out of goodbyes, but we're going to feel this out. So, we're excited about the big changes ahead, looking forward to the extra time we'll have to grow our business... but cherishing the last sweet weeks before their schooling journeys begin.
