Greetings from Nest European Toys + Home!
Nest is an online shop, with a focus on natural 'Made in Europe & North America' toys & baby products, arts & crafts, textiles, housewares and furniture. We aim to offer a selection of products that are practical, engaging, aesthetically appealing, and of enduring value, such that people may delight in shopping from our selection of over 5000 products, knowing that environmental sustainability and safety are both just a given. We work with companies like Ostheimer, Grimm's, Sarah's Silks, Engelberger, Ruskovilla woollens, and many others. We have over 200 different suppliers from Europe, Canada, and the USA.
John-Paul & Lisa: It's a busy time at Nest as the Christmas season approaches. Though we haven't put on the Christmas music in our basement warehouse yet. The biggest change in our business recently has probably been the number of new items we carry, such as:
- new wooden figures from Ostheimer
- new releases from Fagus vehicles
- Brin d'bois wooden figures of France.

We also have some new seasonal Christmas items including some lovely hanging wooden and copper stars from Sweden.
We're still working on our new web shop, but it's not ready to launch yet. Our 2 yr old and 4 yr old have both started at our local Waldorf school, and we should have more time once this holiday and the first couple waves of fall and winter viruses are over. For now, the prices on our site are still in Canadian dollars only. (American customers take off roughly one quarter of the prices you see listed to have the price in American dollars). With our new site, we'll have an American and a Canadian site, and people will be able to checkout in either currency. We'll send out a newsletter email in the new year when the new site launches to let people know and with $5 gift cards to try it out. As a child I had a ceramic mushroom lamp similar to the one pictured. I've always wanted my kids to have it in their room but my mother refuses to hand it down!
