Greetings from WoolyMossRoots! 

WoolyMossRoots is a haven for knitters, gardeners & creative spirits. And a place for nature lovers! In our shop we offer handmade artisan buttons, wooden shawl pins, cedar garden and homestead signs, sustainable wood jewelry, and more. We're a small family business and everything we offer is lovingly made by our family in our woodland workshop, on our small Oregon homestead. Jeff is the wood-loving woodworker and is always finding new things to do with his favorite medium. I (Taryn) run our WoolyMossRoots online shop, tie lots of buttons on cards, take pictures, and ship out orders. Our five year old son Bracken loves to help tie buttons on cards and inspire designs. When we're not busy in the workshop or kitchen, our favorite place to be is in the garden. We welcome you to join us on the blog where we share bits of daily life, inspiration, and homesteading adventures.

SouleMama: Since the last time you were featured on SouleMama, in what ways has your business grown or changed?

 

Last November, we were just starting to add jewelry to our WoolyMossRoots shop. I requested chicken earrings at the time and have since asked for vegetable earrings. Jeff created some beet earrings I just love! He's also made honeybee earrings, owl earrings, and some especially beautiful earrings with set stones (turquoise and tiger's eye.) He's been having a lot of fun with his wood burner and carving tool, I've been enjoying drawing new designs, and we've been dreaming up new things to add to the shop. 

 

Spring is almost here and with it the inspiration to clean out our craft spaces. It's that time of year filled with renewed enthusiasm for finishing up projects, and we've got lots of buttons and shawl pins to add that special touch to your hand knits! It's also the time to start ordering seeds and dreaming about the garden season ahead. Check out our cedar signs for your garden, whether it's a backyard homestead or a few potted plants on your doorstep, we have fun signs to make you smile. Though it's not Spring quite yet, we're having a huge Spring cleaning sale in the shop! (With over 50 items on sale!) We've been transitioning over to our new button cards since last fall and I've discounted all sets of buttons on our previous button cards. I've also discounted buttons that have been with us for awhile and are looking for their new home or even ones I wanted to re-photograph. There are some great deals there and we'd like to clear everything out of our sale section so we can make room for all the new inventory we'll be adding and freshen up our shop for Spring.
