As if the eye candy of Brimfield weren't enough, we journeyed over to Boston for the night and then had an early morning at the Boston Flower Exchange, a market for wholesale flower sellers and designers. Um, a warehouse full of flowers? Dreamy! I happily followed the Goddess of Floral Goodness (otherwise known as Stacy Brenner of Broadturn Farm), making myself entirely useless as I could only identify about a third of the flowers on her list. That's okay. I learned a bit, drooled a lot, and snapped many, many photos.
With a car full of our vintage treasures AND armloads and boxes full of fresh flowers, we finally made our way home yesterday. With the smell and sight of pretty peonies, stacks and stacks of vintage shabby chic furniture, and laughter and good conversation between two dear friends....one might not even have worldly senses enough to pay attention to tiny details. Like the gas gauge, for just an example. That may have happened. (Ahem.)
