This morning, I will plant the garlic. Not because it's one of the last thing on my to do list and I want to check it off, but because it is an action of hope, and an investment in the future. These are the very things I need this week, and I'm grateful for this one tiny act in the garden that I can plant as a seed, knowing more will come.
After my hands are dirty from our home soil, I'll kiss my babies goodbye at lunchtime and then be on my way. To Portugal! I'm so glad for this time to connect with my friend and traveling companion, to explore a beautiful corner of the world and to meet new people along the way. And on that note.....

Rosa Pomar has graciously offered her shop Retrosaria in Lisbon as a meeting place. Should any of you be nearby and able to join, please come and say hello to Stacy and I! I'll be there Saturday (that's tomorrrow!) afternoon from 4pm-6pm. I can't think of a better way to enter a new country than to walk directly into a fiber shop and be greeted by friends. I can't wait!
And in the meantime, do stop by the blog next week where, if all goes according to plan, you'll have some visitors.
