Seeing as I own approximately one tube of lipstick (that should really be called tinted lip balm) how lucky for my kiddos that our dear friend just so happens to have the opposite makeup situation? Quite handy, I tell you. And quite exciting on this Halloween that it happened to be a day she was here. Professional makeup for any and all! Lucky - and very happy - kiddos. Though, it really wasn't until the moment they each sat in the makeup chair that they finally committed to a costume, in the middle of Halloween afternoon. And Annabel, oh sweet thing, she really continued to change her plan throughout the night, mid-trick or treating, though at that point just her concept changed and not the actual costume. I get it, sweet pea - so many possibilities! It's exciting. So hard to pin yourself down to just one thing!
And so, with makeup on our side, I had a far spookier and gorier crew than I've ever had before! We ventured off into the night with a Walking Dead, a Teen Vampire, a Police Officer and a Lady Who Loves Jewelry or a Fancy Lady depending on the time of night you asked her. (Calvin was elsewhere, it's been a few years since I've managed to get them all together for Halloween night - I was grateful for four this year!) After haunting a neighborhood for a while, quite amazingly all the gore and guts and blood washed right away and I was able to tuck my sweet (and sweet-filled) children into bed by the end of the day. And another Halloween has come and gone, with my growing crew!
