We prepared for Solstice yesterday by making some lights in the form of beeswax luminaries (Rachel has a great tutorial here). Everyone joined in on the fun, even if it was just to blow up balloons and pop them. Ah, but at the end of a morning of melting beeswax (the kitchen smelled so good!) and popped balloons, we found ourselves with plenty of luminaries to light up and warm up the darkness. Light and warmth in the darkness is just what we all need, and what I wish you plenty of on this Winter Solstice!
