Body Jenga! Did you know it's a thing? I didn't either, until yesterday afternoon mid-snowstorm when we had made about as much art as anyone wanted to in a day, listened to stories for hours, done some baking, and I looked over and saw this happening. Boredom, I really do believe, is so good for creativity. And with a whole lot of time inside together, there's certainly plenty of time for creative invention! Some favorites from our snowstorm days this week - this rice pudding, Ramona Quimby on audiobook (narrated by Stockard Channing, fun!), Bird Bingo, revisiting the Moomintrolls (Moominpapa at Sea is a favorite!), friendship bracelets for all, Starshower on my needles, and Lincoln in the Bardo on audio for post-bedtime fireside knitting.
School and classes were cancelled again this morning, so I'll be eager to see what gets invented today! Popcorn, cheese, wine, and chocolate are well stocked. There's plenty of yarn. Colored pencils are all sharpened. We've got this!
