We do our best to make as many 'dates' with our kiddos as possible. But I can't remember the last time someone had a solo sleepover with Mom AND Pop. This weekend, the perfect opportunity arose with an errand Steve and I needed to run a few states over. We made it into an adventure, bringing Adelaide along with us for the fun. We are having such a wonderful time, soaking her up without distraction. And certainly, she's soaking up some serious parental attention.
And oh the knitting! I finished this hat for her on the car ride here - it's Windchief, knit with Hope Spinnery yarn and topped with a most fabulous faux pompom I couldn't resist on my last visit to Knitwit in Portland. Rest assured, I have more knitting with me though, and surely won't run out of something to knit while in the passenger seat. Ada too, has her knitting in her lap as we chit chat over the mountains and into the woods. It's all so good.
