If you follow me on Instagram, you know I've been working hard this winter on perfecting my downhill ski technique each and every weekend. It involves a warm lodge, some yarn (knitting or crochet, I'm flexible), plenty of tea and sometimes wine. It's done wonders for my knitting progress, as you can imagine. Off the needles it's all flying! Including this long-lingering, but happily slow knit of mine, Mountain High (fitting, yes?) by Heidi Kirrmaier. Heidi, I just learned is an engineer by day, which makes so much sense. Her designs have always been among my favorite to knit, they're so well constructed and the patterns so methodical. That was certainly true with this knit. The yarn, of course, is my own - see those sheep up there? Those ladies! That's where this sweater came from! (Never will I tire of that exciting feeling.)
Now that this sweater is done, I'm torn between starting something new or visiting the unfinished project baskets to see what nearly-finished treasures I could pick up. Maybe I'll have time for both! There is plenty of ski season left to be had (as the snow falls down this very moment and more is coming tomorrow), and I know the comfiest spot in each and every lodge!
