Summer arrived! In a serious way! It's nearly impossible to believe that just one little week ago, it was so unseasonable and cold that we had a fire in the woodstove. In June! But here we are with temperatures over 90 degrees each day this week so far - also unseasonable. I suppose unseasonable is the new seasonable, and we'll all get used to that. Or not.
But summer it is! And with it, the end of all but the summer sports. Summer camps start up soon. Adventures are planned, large and small. And I am hoping for oh so many beach days - ocean, river and lake alike (yesterday, it was the lake). If there's anything I know from living in Maine all of my days, it's that summer (here) does not wait for us to appreciate it, to get around to finding the time to enjoy it. Summer does not linger. It's best to grab it, soak it up, and live so fully within in. Oh, we've got this....
