How about some true blue "before" photos today??
It's been such a flurry these past two weeks, and sending an issue off to the printer and losing power for five days wasn't the entirety of it! I'm incredibly excited to tell you about a new space I've been working on, in Portland, for Taproot! We've partnered with our friends at Swallowtail Farm, who run Milk and Honey Cafe in the Bayside neighborhood (84 Cove Street!) of Portland, and will be sharing their space with them! The cafe will remain (where you can also purchase their delicious yogurts and award winning cheeses), our offices will move in, and there will be plenty of space for collaborations and events! After a good bit of travel this year, I am so pleased to settle down some roots into this community of Maine that I love so much. And for our magazine - very much about community and place - to finally have one of our own, where folks can swing by to visit us, pick up the magazine, and other goodies (we'll have a small retail space as well). It's been a long time coming, this little dream, and I can't be more pleased with the way it's all unfolding.
I have a lot more to tell you about this space, including details about our opening day and launch party coming up oh so soon! I'll do that just as soon as those details are secure....but for now, I've got to dash out the door to meet the electrician!
