Ani got herself a new sweater this week. A Tea Leaves sweater! I had to check the blog to see how many of these I've made. There was the one I made for myself (sadly in a poor yarn choice as it pilled terribly though it was as soft as can be before that), and there was the teeny one I made for Adelaide all those years ago (and that Annabel then wore too). And so I guess that makes this my third! I do love knitting it - it's such a sweet little detail at the top and so easily accomplished (by switching needle sizes). And with worsted yarn, it knits up quite quickly. This one I made in Malabrigo Rios - a superwash, which I hope will make it easy for me to care for and hardy for Ani to wear. I love that color. So lovely.
Next up, I'm eyeing the bags (and bags) of yarn that I brought home from the mill and dreaming up some things to make with it. I'm feeling the pull towards thrummed mittens, so that's an easy one. But a nice colorwork sweater somehow using all five of my shetland colors, mmn....that's definitely on the list too.
Later this week, I head to Minneapolis for Vogue Knitting LIve! and I'm excited to be surrounded once again by fiber and knitters! And of course, for some totally justified knitting them too!
What are you knitting these days?
